My name is Heather. I am a member and secretary of FPC Berwick. My daughter Emma is a member of  Girl Scout troop 32455. Emma is at the Girl Scout level to work for the Girl Scout Gold award. Due to the amount of time and work involved entirely on the scout in earning the gold award Emma has decided to complete a project for the experience without the official recognition and pin at the end. Her project, inspired by a beautiful project designed by the talented students of Vo-Tech is benches. Hmm. Benches. Ok. So the work begins. Several material options have been chosen. Composite, cement and metal. Each has there benefit and there down fall. So we are down to cement and metal. A design is still in the works. Not only are these benches going to offer comfortable seating for those who are passing by, attending a parade or just looking for a quick break to relax we are hoping they will also be a spot to spark creativity.
