The United Way and Salvation Army will be holding the annual Walk for Warmth Saturday February 7th from 10a-2p at the Salem Track. The goal is to raise $3,000 to help eight families. For more information please contact the United Way 759-8203.
Sunday February 1st is Souper Bowl of Caring and we are holding a chili cook off! Last year we sparred off with four groups in the kitchen. We had a great time of fellowship and competition. Help us meet our goal. Please join us following worship for this tasty competition. Chili will be available to purchase by the quart and we will once again have soup bowls to purchase. Get them before they are gone! They were quite popular last year and they sold fast! Can’t make it February 1st? Call ahead and order your quarts so they can be put aside. Proceeds will benefit our local food pantry!
Got a coupon? Leave a coupon. Need a coupon? Take a coupon. There is a basket on the back table of the sanctuary with coupons for Burger King, Denny’s etc. They are available to anyone! Please pass along the savings to anyone who may need it before they expire.
Beginning in January our mission focus will be getting your can to church. Canned goods that is! With the holidays behind us the local food pantries will be facing empty shelves that will need to be replenished. Your donations of non-perishable food items will be collected through February the Berwick food pantry. We spoke directly to the Berwick pantry at the Salvation Army and they said they could use everything. Please leave your donations in the provided box in the narthex.
