Older adults can now join the excitement at Krislund. Beginning in March, 2016, Krislund will offer special adult programs for the young at heart, with each month featuring a new topic. With fun activities, comfortable lodging and good food, Kruisers are sure to enjoy their 2-day/1-night cruise. Participants will stay in the cozy pinewood cabins that are heated/air conditioned and include two double beds, private bathrooms with showers and wonderful view of the Pennsylvania mountains (our version of waves!). To learn more about Kruisin’ at Krislund, visit www.krislund.org. Select “Adults and Young at Heart” from the top menu, and then select Kruisin’ at Krislund. Or call (814) 422-8878.
Thousands of volunteers each year put on a blue t-shirt that says “Out of chaos, Hope.” They bear not only ladders and drywall for rebuilding, but also the love of God. Many disaster survivors who see the love of God evident in the lives of these servants are able to take off their cloak of mourning and begin to find joy. Many congregations have not had an opportunity to ‘earn’ blue t-shirts through volunteer work team efforts; but you are supporting the ministry of Presbyterian Disaster Assistance through your financial gifts, action and prayers. You are standing in the GAP for disaster survivors. Together let’s tell the story of hope out of chaos.
